Hey, I'm Alex!
My humble business beginnings.
Studio 4:13 Photography. Yeah, I know. You've never heard of it. That's because I started this "photography studio," if you even want to call it that, out of the smallest bedroom in my parents' house. I don't know that I ever brought in a client who wasn't related to me. It was bad. But cut me some slack ... I was only 11 after all!

Fortunately, it didn't stop there. Because I'd be broke if it did.
I've upped my game.
I tell you that fun little anecdote about my failed business because I want you to know that I understand how hard it is to run a business. When you have bills to pay, mouths to feed, and clients to impress, I know how hard it can be to keep your company's image strong. In the small business and nonprofit sectors, I have found that marketing often takes the back seat. Maybe it's because the day-to-day operations take precedent. Or because employees simply don't know where to begin.

That's where I come in!
I want to see small businesses grow and nonprofits make an impact!
Here at Sefton Creative Co., you are my top priority. Through the years, I have been able to consult with several small businesses and nonprofit organizations in Indiana. I pride myself on being the small-town alternative to the big-city consultancy. Like the big guys, I pursue excellence, but unlike them, you are more than a customer ID number or the bottom line on your invoice. My clients often become my friends!

I am passionate about seeing small businesses and nonprofits achieve like never before. I feel blessed that the Lord has given me a weird combination of skills. I'm a creative, but I'm also strategy and process-driven. I appreciate artsy graphics as much as I appreciate a well-laid-out spreadsheet or to-do list.

In my role, I wear several hats (which is weird because I don't like hats). I build websites. I create graphics. I write stories. I take photos. I shoot videos. I work with leaders to develop strategic plans. I coach nonprofits. Why? Because I'm eager to use my skills to empower positive change continually.

My entrance into the nonprofit world occurred during my sophomore year of high school when I started a tiny little nonprofit — All for One (A41) Ministry. Little did I know that God was readying me for the work I would one day do. I have been honored to serve in a volunteer capacity as Executive Director of A41 since then — building a board, drafting policy, writing strategic plans, and successfully navigating two capital campaigns to launch large scale ministry initiatives. In the same timeframe, I have served in a few other roles, as a Public Relations and Grant Program Manager for a community foundation, as a Communications Director for a nondenominational church, and as the founder and consultant of Sefton Creative Co. In addition, I graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of science in business administration with a minor in entrepreneurship, as well as Indiana Wesleyan University with a master of public administration in nonprofit leadership.
I get what it takes to equip small businesses and nonprofits capitalize on the unique value they bring to the market. And I'd love to help you, too!
